Fire Prevention Week - Oct. 2010

The Newell and Fonda Fire Departments came to visit us during Fire Prevention Week. We got to see what a real fireman looks like when they are in their uniform gear. The students even got to ride on the Newell Rescue Truck. We learned many safety tips that day!

2nd Annual Fitness Walk - October 6, 2010

We enjoyed our 2nd Annual Fitness Walk on October 6, 2010. We walked almost a mile and stopped at different spots to do some extra exercises.

Working with the iTouches

We really enjoy having the opportunity to use the iTouches in our classroom. We use them 3 times a week and work on apps that help us with letters, sounds and math concepts.

Cattails program

Katie, BV Naturalist, came to our classroom to teach us about cattails. We learned a lot! We even made a "duck" out of the leaves from the cattails.

Pumpkin Patch - September 29, 2010

We had a great time at the Alta Pumpkin Patch. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect. Each student picked their own small pumpkin to take home. We also picked out a pumpkin for our classroom.

Trip to the Corn Maze - Sept. 28, 2010

We were able to pet the pigs that were at the corn maze.

Homecoming Parade 2010

Our theme for the parade was "Hi, Ho, Hi, Ho, It's Off to a Victory We Go!" It was a great day for the parade.

Football Readers

We enjoy having the Newell-Fonda football players come to our classroom to read a book to us every Friday during the football season!
