The 5th graders created stories on their computers. They were able to share them with us!
Abbey's Trip to Spain and Greece
Mrs. Wells' daughter, Abbey, had the opportunity to take a trip to Spain and Greece. We were able to skype with her while she was there. We learned so much about how to skype and lots of new vocabulary words such as siesta, ferry boat, globe, equator, etc. We want to thank Abbey for sharing her vacation with us!!
4th Grade Reading Buddies
The 4th Graders have been visiting our room to read us stories. We really had fun with our Reading Buddies!
Thanksgiving Feast - November 2010
We made our own Pilgrim and Indian costumes to wear for our Thanksgiving Feast. We each brought an item to share with our classmates for the Feast just like the First Thanksgiving.
Halloween Party - October 2010
We had some much fun at our Halloween Party. Thanks to the moms that planned and helped to make our party so special!
Color Unit
We had a lot of fun during our Color Unit. Each day found us working on a different color word and also trying to wear clothes that matched for that day.
Pumpkin Activity - October 2010
We scooped out the seeds and the pulp from our classroom pumpkin. Each one of us predicted how many seeds would be inside our pumpkin. We then divided into groups and each group had to put their seeds into groups of 10 seeds. Mrs. Wells helped us to count up all the groups of 10 that we had. Our pumpkin had 728 seeds.
Red Ribbon Week - October 2010
We learned a lot about staying away from drugs during Red Ribbon Week. We wore crazy socks to school one day for "Sock it to Drugs" day!
